Heartily Congratulation to Mr A K Tewary

Mr. A K Tewary General Manager-BC at his office in Delhi
In the new year on 1st January the status of  Business coordination office at Delhi  was upgraded  with the promotion of its Head Mr. A K Tewary as General Manager. Heartily Congratulation to him on his well deserved promotion from all officers of BC office.
Needless to say he is one of the brightest officers of ITI. He is the alumni of BIT Sindri Ranchi from where he did his 5 years degree course in Electronics and Communication in 1977. He joined ITI in its Raebareli plant as  AEE in 1978.
He was selected for prestigious ITI Mankapur unit  in 1984 as AM- System Management. At that time in Mankapur unit , a state of art electronic manufacturing facility was set  up. He worked there in various capacities up to 1999 before moving to ITI Raebareli as DGM-Marketing where he was deputed to oversee the marketing processes of SMPS Power Plant - a one of the most profitable product ITI ever produced.
When it was strategically planned that ITI should venture out in non DOT products he was given responsibility to penetrate in South India and was deputed as DGM- RO Hydrabad . He did marvelous job in Hydrabad and bagged some good orders from Railways, VSP,  NTPC, CPWD,IAF etc. In ITI he is considered as trouble shooter .

In 2007  his services were required in Lucknow where some industrial problem had erupted. He was transferred to head Regional Office, Lucknow and with his experience he settled various issues there and also turned around the RO into a profitable one. .

In 2008 when the company was going through a critical existence crisis period a search was made among all officers to head its most prestigious and strategically important office in Delhi where all big customers and Government offices are located. Search ended with his selection as Head of BC office in 2008. In the short duration of stay in BC office he clinched important deals/orders  for ITI and got revival package approved from BRPSE and Government of India. ITI also got Rs 2820 crore during his tenure as AGM-BC.
He is still continuing his effort to see ITI coming out of present crisis. In his effort we all officers in BC office are with him and extend full support.

  2. Good efforts.Though it is late, now it is the appropriate time to start the awareness among the officers community.

Now since the DPE has relaxed all the guidelines for the sick PSU's ,it is easy for us to approach the DOT and convince them to take the appropriate decisions on our wage revision, 50% DA merger ,wage revision arrears etc.

Recently i understand that after the sixth pay commision revision the DA for the central govt employees going to cross the 50% mark. Where as still we are waiting for the old scale of pay 50% DA merger.

Unless the employees of ITI Ltd are properly taken care with the wage revision , wage revision arrears, 50% da merger and other perquists it will be difficult for the company to come out of it's red..

I am very happy to join as a member of the ITI Officers Association..

    Thanks and Regards
